This Week Is Decision Week for Health Care!

Dear Friend,

We are entering the final phases of the health care debate this year in Washington. Health care reform is an important issue that affects every American and should be a bi-partisan effort to ensure that patients have access to affordable, quality care.

Unfortunately, Democrats in Washington, led by President Obama and Speaker Pelosi have repeatedly shut Republicans out of the process in their bid for a government takeover of the health care system. And knowing that their plan is growing more unpopular by the day, they have decided to press forward and rush their proposal through Congress before they take any more heat.

In a year when Democrats have quickly rammed through legislation claiming there wasn't enough time for proper debate, the House of Representatives is only scheduled to meet for two and half days this week. But while there will be little debating on the floor, the real action will be taking place behind closed doors as Speaker Pelosi readies her final health care bill.

What's worse, it appears she has chosen to double down on some of the most destructive health care ideas. It is reported that this final House bill will include a government-run plan, individual and employer mandates, government quality boards, a new health benefits czar, huge tax hikes, and painful benefits cuts for seniors on Medicare.
Though you and millions more have spoken out against a government takeover of health care, those in charge in Washington still haven't received the message. Accordingly, it's time to turn the heat up even higher on those Democrats who still want to take health care power away from you and your family and give it to bureaucrats.

We can win this debate, but it will require your continued commitment to fighting for the right kind of health care reform: patient-centered reform. In the next couple of weeks, please make sure your voice is heard. While it remains clouded in secrecy, the Speaker is right now constructing a health care plan that threatens your freedom and your health.

Talk to your friends, neighbors, family, and co-workers. This is the time for action. American health care is in the balance. Please speak up, do your part to Petition Pelosi, and let her know that you don't want a government takeover of health care.
